These brand *NEW* unused overstock units are sold AS IS without support nor a warranty. However they are guaranteed against dead on arrival. Once the unit is placed into service the dead on arrival guarantee is void.
These are not a direct drop in type replacement devices as they will need programming and setup by an expert. If you are not familiar with the programming software then please do not purchase this item. Programming software needed is called DVT and requires a license which is provided and supported by BorgWarner/Sevcon. Only IXXAT (USB-to-CAN) adapters are supported by DVT in particularly the variants with galvanic isolation. The part number is IXXAT USB-to-CAN V2 1.01.0281.12001 and can be purchased here at Digikey for $576 but are sold elsewhere as well.
